Charles Oakley Banned From MSG For Life

We are never going to see Charles Oakley step foot in the MSG again, because the New York Knicks announced that the former Knick is banned from the arena for life.

This is a result of the altercation that took place a couple of games ago against the Los Angeles Clippers as Oakley was seen pushing and shoving MSG security and personnel.

Knicks owner, James Dolan, was with Michael Kay of ESPN NY this afternoon as he reported the news.

“Charles Oakley will never be allowed to enter MSG again, even if he purchases a ticket,” Kay told his audience as Dolan sat there.

Dolan however sensed that something was wrong with Oakley prior to the game. “From the minute he walked through the doors, he started with abusive behavior. It just accelerated and accelerated all the way to his seats and with security. It eventually led to his ejection,” Dolan said. “We need to make sure the garden is a place that is a safe and comfortable place.”

Dolan however did hint that this ban might not go on for a long time, in fact, Dolan himself doesn’t want the ban to be lifetime. ““Hopefully, it won’t be forever,” Dolan said to Kay.

Oakley played 10 seasons with Knicks from 1988-1998. During his time as a Knick, Oakley averaged 10 points and 10 rebounds, while shooting 47% from the field.
