Charles Barkley has reached his breaking point with NBA teams resting players. The last two Saturdays have been let downs for NBA fans. Nationally televised games against some of the best teams became a battle of the benches because of the new trend of resting star players. First the Warriors rested Stephen Curry, Draymond Green and Andre Iguodala against the San Antonio Spurs that already had LaMarcus and Kawhi Leonard out due to injury. Then, the following weekend the Cleveland Cavaliers followed suit and rested their big three of LeBron James, Kyrie Iriving, and Kevin Love against the Los Angeles Clippers.

The end result left a sour taste in the mouth’s of fans of the game. Fans who paid their hard-earned money to see LeBron and Kyrie vs Paul and Griffin ended up seeing the Clippers rout of a Cavalier team whose leading scorer was Richard Jefferson with 12 points.

Charles Barkley has been vocal over the years of this “resting” that teams do. While on The Rich Eisen Show Monday he called for fans to boycott  games to send a message to the league:

NBA Commissioner Adam Silver has already stated that the league will look into addressing this significant issue. We will wait and see what solution the NBA comes up with to prevent this issue in the future.
