Arike Ogunbowale is one of the best shooters in the WNBA.

She’s won a scoring title. She has made an All-WNBA first team, an All-WNBA second team and has been selected to three All-Star games.

The Dallas Wings guard was third in 3-pointers made per game last season.

The 5-foot-8 guard averaged 21.9 points per game on 40/34/87 percent shooting splits.

Before Ogunbowale entered the league, she made her mark in college basketball— hitting a game winner in the Final Four and in the National Championship for Notre Dame.

She displayed her clutch gene on the biggest stage.

3-point shooting

Ogunbowale can absolutely shoot the lights out. She catches her defender napping for half a second and starts moving without the basketball.

Notice Ogunbowale clapping for the ball as she makes a dead sprint to the top of the key. She has no hesitation and swishes a deep 3-pointer.

Ogunbowale gets the switch as she takes the dribble handoff. She attacks the switch and observes that her defender gives her a step.

She takes advantage of the lack of air space on the basketball.

Ogunbowale uses a pair of hang dribbles, goes between the legs and nails a pull-up 3-pointer.

Ogunbowale takes another dribble handoff. She sees a soft double team in the corner.

This is just ridiculous shot making. A shot she can take and make.

Ogunbowale swishes a 3-pointer with her high-arcing release.

Creativity

The Wings are deep into the shot clock. Now Ogunbowale has to make something out of nothing on a broken play.

She calls for the basketball, drives and alertly does not over penetrate. Ogunbowale double-clutches a tough push shot off the glass.

On a another broken play, Ogunbowale hesitates and splits the double team. She is so under control that she does not even need to use the throw-out dribble.

She drives, negates the shot blocker and finishes high off the glass.

Ogunbowale has a high-arcing shot. Typically, these high-arcing shots, because of the trajectory, can result in pretty swishes on made baskets.

Ogunbowale is a shooter that strikes fear into the heart of the defense when she swishes deep 3-pointers.

Shooters shoot.
