Jabari Parker Benched For Discussing Team Meeting

According to ESPN’s Chris Haynes, Jabari Parker was benched in yesterday’s loss to the Miami Heat for discussing the team’s meeting to the media.

Parker allegedly broke a team rule in which the players aren’t allowed to discuss what goes on in the locker room.  The team decided on Parker’s punishment and came to a resolution of him coming off the bench.  It was Parker’s first game not being in the starting lineup.

Parker told the media after the game: “I spoke up for the first time, and it didn’t go my way,” Parker said. “I was getting thrashed, but hey, as long as I give them another perspective, I did my job.”

Although Parker is having a breakout season (averaging 20.5 ppg and 5.9 rpg), the Bucks are on a five game losing streak.  They are three games out of the playoffs sitting at 20-23 for the season.
