Omri Casspi To Golden State

Unrestricted free agent Omri Casspi and the Golden State Warriors have reportedly agreed to a one-year contract, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN announced via Twitter. The Sharpshooter averaged a combined 5.2 points and 3.1 rebounds per game with Sacramento, New Orleans and Minnesota this season. Casspi was sent from Sacramento to New Orleans alongside superstar center DeMarcus Cousins, but fractured his thumb in his Pelicans debut that forced him to miss significant time. Casspi tops the list of active players without a playoff appearance (eight seasons), but it is safe to say that this will come to an end.

The Warriors may have been interested in Casspi for a few seasons, and this interest likely arose from the shooting display he put on during a game in Oakland during the 2015-16 season (Video link). The Warriors hope he can get back to shooting over 40% from deep as he did two seasons ago. He will reportedly sign the veterans minimum.
